On saturday evening Aug 23, 2008. myself and two friends entered your restaurant at 730 to a line up , but that is to be expected on a saturday evening. We were told there would be a 15 min wait. That was ok. We first noticed the number of staff at the front desk, at one point there were six, just standing , and making x's on a seating plan , then erasing them. On looking around the restaurant I noticed four tables in the bar empty, still with dishes on the, in the restaurant part, there were five tables some clean others not. The outside patio had not one person sitting most tables clean a few dirty. I have no idea what the problem was with your staff, But as a paying customer. I do not expect the staff to be standing around not doing anything. We left without eating along with several other people who just were fed up. Drove across the street to Boston Pizza and were seated within 2 min. This kind of service is not acceptable, and I will never return to your restaurant. The sign you have up saying that your house is mine, forget it. If I treated my guests like your staff did, I woulld have no friends Gloria Heffler
one of the best restaurant in london food and services are excellent
Terrible coffee, the worst! When we asked our server how it was made (it tasted like instant), she told us it was Tassimo and asked if we liked it, we said NO it was very bad. I was very disappointed to see that we were charged $5.18 for two cups of awful, tepid coffee.
We took our family of 5 here to eat last night. I can say we wont be going back. When we arrived the 4 staff just standing at the front seemed to be pushing us off so they would not have to be our waitress. At least that is the impression we received. We were seated and our waitress seemed ok - but as the dinner experience went along she stopped smiling. Seems annoyed to even have a paying customer at her table. And there must be a rule I was not aware of regarding the all you can eat soup or salad that comes with the meal. I had to ask for more salad and was told she could bring me out a little bit more. And after my husband had his 2nd bowl of soup he was never asked if he wanted more. The bread was not all you can eat either. Must be a 2-and done rule. And even the server who brought out the food - when we asked for more drinks - she looked at us like we were crazy to ask her that. And said she would get our waitress. I expect that getting our waitress it the norm but it was her look on her face. We were unimpressed and wont be going back. That is for sure.
My husband and I stopped in for a dinner to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary as we were in town for tests done at the hospital.....we were seated very promptly and placed our order and proceeded to fill up on the all u can eat bread, soup and/or salad...while eating I decided to order a spaghetti dinner for our son and a salad for our daughter. We ate and it was delicious and waited for the take out order..having paid for this $75 + bill...ahead of getting the take out food. After 20 mins I asked the waitress how much longer and she proceeded to saunder over, maybe unwilling to let us know what the holdup was or maybe that we just didnt notice the time frame and said there was a fiasco in the kitchen and proceeded to say that someone ordered a same dish as us thru their take out department and got my order...so they had to make another order...waited another 10 mins or so and I asked again..how much longer..she said the salad we ordered then had to be remade so it was fresh...all the while my disabled husband was not getting agitated. She said shouldnt be too much more...a short time after she came out with the order finally,,,,and let me know that she gave us extra soup and bread.....and that was it......not too impressed....I cant even grade this experience.....it was not good...ESP as this is such a reputable restaurant ...dont know if well return...p.s the roasted red pepper soup was awesome...but extra bread and soup didn't cut it.
